What are we studying? We just finished our butterfly unit, focusing on sequencing from The Very Hungry Catepillar and the life cycle of a butterfly. We are just beginning our colors unit. We will be using songs, games, and projects to help us learn the names of the colors. We are also doing some counting while practicing our colors. What are we reading? We just finished a butterfly unit centered around La oruga muy hambrienta by Eric Carle. We are now reading stories about colores, including Oso pardo, oso pardo, ¿qué ves ahí? By Bill Martin and Pinta ratones by Ellen Stoll Walsh.2/3
What are we studying? We are finishing our study of “el otoño.” We included colors we see in the fall, as well as things we see in the fall. We have colored leaves, made fall scenes (including Spanish labels), and gone on a fall “busqueda” that brought us outside. What are we reading? We have been working on an autumn unit and have read a story about fall, as well as one about the life cycle of a leaf. |
