The Wells Memorial School Falcons Chess Club is open to students of all ages and playing levels, and we especially welcome beginners who have little or no experience playing this great game. Beginners will be taught the rules through fun games, worksheets, and use of computers. Intermediate and advanced players will develop their game play and style through worksheets, analysis of Master-level games, peer play, and select computer programs. Over the course of the year, there are opportunities to play in tournaments and special events, both after-school tournaments and more competitive Saturday USCF-rated tournaments. Details are sent home as they become available.
